I am currently a KAUST Global Fellow in the StochNum group at KAUST led by Raúl Tempone, and my current projects focus on data assimilation, model order reduction, and statistical model calibration. Before this, I obtained my PhD at EPFL in 2025 in the CSQI group, under the supervision of Fabio Nobile. My thesis is entitled: “Advances in Dynamical Low-Rank Approximations for random PDEs and Data Assimilation”, you can download it here. Before that, I did my Master’s at the University of Edinburgh, in Computational Applied Mathematics.
My CV is available here.
My preferred type of research combines sound theoretical guarantees with practical implementations. I follow this philosophy when researching (and combining):
I speak French, German, English at a proficient/native level, and Portuguese at a conversational level. I received an HSK 5 qualification in Chinese in 2017, but have not practised that language since.
I am a (Neo)vim enthusiast and love to work out of the terminal. These days I am mostly using Julia and Python when coding, but I have varying degrees of experience in MATLAB, C, C++ (incl. MPI), Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
